OSUNYAI LAMARKAU Tarangire
04.13’02.6”S 036.13’46.2”E
Osunyai affords stunning game viewing by 4WD or on foot accompanied by an armed Ranger. Night game drives are also available, as are small ‘fly camp’ overnight sleep outs for the more adventurous.
Due to the location of Osunyai Lamarkau and the sunrise setting, the camp affords a spectacular start to each day, with a procession of wildlife meandering in front of camp. With only 16 beds and an occupancy that caters for either 2 small groups only, or a larger group on an exclusive basis, the feel of Osunyai Lamakau is deliberately one of privacy.
Add in the location on the edge of the wilderness zone within Tarangire-far from the main circuit, Osunyai Lamarkau is, without a doubt the most remote of any accommodations within the park.
Tarangire National Park is renowned for its Elephant and Buffalo herds. Known mainly as a dry season environment, Tarangire and its river, creates the perfect environment for the plains game that need a dry season water source. During the green season when the water levels are higher, the landscape turns to a translucent green, abundant with migratory bird species and the resident Elephant and Buffalo herds. Our commitment to Tarangire is year round and has been rewarded with exceptional game viewing throughout the year.
Like our other camps, Osunyai Lamarkau is only booked on an exclusive basis and is open year round.
