In 1979 Gary Strand first set foot on the African continent and immediately fell for its diverse culture, wildlife and wilderness. For the next 5 years, he explored most every corner of this fascinating continent, before settling in Tanzania, founding a business and raising a family.

Exclusivity has always been at the heart of everything we do. Our own lodge—Olerai—and our three tented camps—Osunyai Lamarkau, Dulana Serengeti South and Dulana Serengeti North—are available on an exclusive-use basis only.

From our base in Arusha, Tanzania, Marianne Denoix de Saint Marc (partner) heads up a team of 70, including Moses Syanga (GM), Reservations, Operations, full time Guides and Crew. We have every means available to help with all aspects of planning and implementation for any travel enquiry within Eastern or Central Africa.
