Poaching and illegal wildlife trafficking are among the gravest threats to Africa’s biodiversity. 255Uncharted supports Kuru – Conservation Dogs for Africa, specialists in training highly effective detection dog teams that aid anti-poaching efforts, find snares, and deter wildlife crime across Tanzania and beyond.Their philosophy of ethical dog welfare and collaborative partnerships with conservation organisations and governments ensures that every trained dog and handler team contributes to lasting protection of vulnerable species.

We proudly support Mwandamo, an organisation transforming women’s health in Northern Tanzania through holistic education and compassionate care. Mwandamo empowers women with knowledge about their bodies, their rights, and access to quality care – helping them advocate confidently for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Tanzania’s carnivores – lions, leopards, and hyenas – are iconic inhabitants of the landscapes we travel through. We are honoured to support the Maasai Steppe Carnivore Conservation Trust (MCCT), an organisation working at the intersection of scientific research, conflict mitigation, and community engagement. MCCT develops locally rooted strategies that reduce human-wildlife conflict, protect vital wildlife corridors, and ensure that people and predators can coexist sustainably.
